3D Printing Prices 2026: Price per Gram Table

The price of a 3D print = print weight × the material's price per gram; the print-time allowance is included in the print weight. The tables below come directly from Cheap3D Hub's current price settings and match the price you see in the price calculator. To see the price of your own part, just upload your STL, OBJ, 3MF or STEP file.

How much does 3D printing cost?

3D printing in PLA, PETG and ABS costs $0.045–$0.081 per gram. Price = print weight × per-gram price: for example, a 250 g PLA part has a print weight of about 312 g and costs about $14.76; a 1 kg print has a print weight of about 1,278 g and costs about $56.61 (after a 2% order discount).

* Minimum order value. Prices are estimates; the weight under each price is the print weight, and price = print weight × per-gram price (the print weight includes an allowance for supports, waste and print time). The exact price depends on your model's infill, walls and supports. The per-gram tier is set by the print weight of each part. Prices exclude VAT (20%). Pricing FAQ

Prices exclude VAT (20%). Shipping is not included — please contact us for shipping costs.
How is the 3D printing price calculated?
Price = print weight × the material's price per gram. The print weight is the part's weight plus an allowance for supports, print waste and print time; the calculator shows it for every file. The per-gram price has three tiers based on the print weight of each part: up to 250 g, 251–500 g and over 500 g. Order discounts: 2% over $53, 4% over $105, 8% over $210.
How long does 3D printing take?
Our pricing assumes a print speed of about 20 grams per hour: a 100 g part takes about 5 h and a 500 g part about 25 h. Standard jobs are usually ready within 1-3 business days after your approval.
Is shipping free? Are there discounts?
Shipping is not included — please contact us for shipping costs. Order discounts: 2% over $53, 4% over $105, 8% over $210.

What affects the price of a 3D print?

  • Material: PLA is the most economical option; PETG, ABS and ASA add strength and heat resistance; carbon-fibre reinforced and engineering materials have a higher price per gram.
  • Part weight: The price is calculated per gram; higher infill and more walls make the part heavier. The price tier depends on the print weight of each part.
  • Supports: Overhanging parts need support structures that use extra material. The price is based on the print weight: the part weight plus an allowance for supports, waste and print time, shown by the calculator for every file.
  • Print time: Long prints add more electricity cost; large and tall parts take longer.
  • Colour: Multi-colour prints need extra material and time for colour changes.
  • Order total: Order discounts apply as the total grows.

How to lower the cost

  • For visual parts, 15–20% infill is usually enough.
  • Printing the part in the right orientation reduces supports and material.
  • If high strength is not needed, PLA is the most economical material.
  • Sending several parts in one order lets you benefit from order discounts.
  • Our pre-print consultation is free: our technical consultant suggests changes that reduce the cost.
